Naomi O’Rourke is set to grace the catwalk this Sunday as part of Ireland AM’s Junk Kouture semi finals. Junk Kouture is a recycled fashion contest where students are required to create wearable art and outrageous couture dresses and outfits in Junk Kouture style with a ‘wow factor’.
Students had to rework already used materials that were beyond their intended purpose and craft them into remarkable couture fashion. Our students worked with coca cola labels, cans, ring pulls, shower curtain rings, old shoes an underskirt and old buttons. Colaiste Dhulaighs 5th Years from the class of O’Connell’s have qualified for the semi-finals to be held in Naas on Sunday 20th of March, with the hope of qualifying for the final to be held in Dublin in collaboration with TV3’s Ireland AM. They need you vote to help them go on to the Final. You can vote for their outfit called Button FIZZ on
