Student Council

Democratic Process!

Coláiste Dhúlaigh’s Student Council was set up in 2005. Each class in the school is represented, with Class Representatives nominated and elected democratically. The Council meets four to five times a year. The school has been careful to ensure that in so far as possible that they are responsible for setting their agenda and running their own affairs, thus developing a culture of democratic participation. The Council is supported by a Liaison Teacher who facilitates the development in the student body of the organisational skills necessary for running the Council.
